The People Pocket HRScope with Tova
Drafted by Tova. Reviewed by an employment attorney. Delivered to you.

Policies you canactually rely on.

Tova drafts new policies or redlines your existing handbook. A licensed employment attorney reviews, revises, and releases them, so what you adopt has been read by a lawyer, not just an AI.

How it works

Scope. Draft. Review. Release.

Scope

Tova interviews you on state footprint, headcount, and existing docs, then recommends fresh drafting or a targeted revision.

Draft or redline

Tova drafts new policies or marks up your existing ones against federal + state law, flagging what needs to change and why.

Attorney review

An employment attorney reads, revises, and either releases or sends back to Tova with instructions.

Delivered

You receive a clean, adoptable policy or marked-up handbook, with the reviewer named, that you can implement immediately.

Who reviews your policies

A real employment attorney. Every time.

Every policy released through The People Pocket is reviewed by a licensed employment attorney with 26+ years of experience, in-house counsel, outside counsel, Chief Human Resources Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer. That's the difference between an AI draft and a policy you can adopt: the person who reviewed it has defended, negotiated, and enforced these policies for a quarter century.

Bundles & pricing

Pay per engagement, not per seat.

Two ways to work with us: draft new policies from scratch, or revise (redline) an existing handbook. Pro includes 1 single-state draft or revision per year; Scale includes 3 plus 1 full handbook review. Beyond that, complexity is priced in, a full handbook is more work than a single policy, and multi-state employers pay a per-additional-state surcharge because different state laws apply.

Process & timeline

How the work moves, and how long it takes

Business-day estimates assume timely client responses. Clock pauses when we're waiting on you.

Process & Timeline

One workflow, whether we draft from scratch or revise what you have

  1. 1
    Intake + scoping
1–2 business days (2–3 for revisions)

Tova interviews on state footprint, headcount, industry-specific exposures, and any existing language. For revisions, you upload the current handbook and flag sections to touch; Tova maps it against applicable federal + state law and confirms scope (targeted sections vs. top-to-bottom).

  2. 2
    Tova drafts or redlines
    3–5 business days

New drafts: state-specific drafting against current federal + state law, with multi-state variants where required. Revisions: tracked-changes markup with a section-by-section change log citing statutes, regs, cases, and guidance; gap report identifies missing policies and sections to remove or promote.

  3. 3
    Attorney review
    3–5 business days

Licensed employment attorney reads, revises, and either releases or returns to Tova with instructions. Reviewer named and dated on the record.

  4. 4
    Client Q&A + revisions
    2–3 business days

You review, flag questions, request tone or scope changes, and confirm operational fit. One consolidated revision pass before release.

  5. 5
    Release
    Same day

Final Word + PDF, reviewer memo, acknowledgment form, and rollout checklist delivered. Revisions also include the redlined file, clean accepted-changes companion, change log, and gap report. 30-day clarification pass included.

Typical end-to-end
Single policy
~2 weeks end-to-end
Core 5
3–4 weeks end-to-end
Full handbook
5–7 weeks end-to-end (4–6 for revisions)

Business-day estimates assume timely client responses; clock pauses when waiting on you. Rush track (attorney availability permitting): compress each step to next-business-day. Multi-state (5+) scope adds ~1 week. Redline timelines assume a workable current handbook; if Tova flags it as unsalvageable, we'll recommend a fresh draft and re-quote before starting.

FAQ

How does an existing handbook review work?

Upload your current handbook (Word is best; PDF works) and tell us which sections to review or whether you want a full top-to-bottom redline. Tova marks up tracked changes against current federal and state law, flags outdated or missing language, and produces a clean accepted-changes companion plus a section-by-section change log with cited authorities. A licensed employment attorney then reviews, revises, and releases the package.

What is included in the legal update?

The redline covers mandatory changes from new statutes, regulations, and case law; recommended best-practice updates; gap identification; and any ERISA or industry-specific interplay. Deliverables include a redlined Word file, a clean accepted-changes version, a change log with authorities, a flag list, updated acknowledgment and supersession language, attorney sign-off, and a 30-day clarification pass.

What do I need to provide?

Your current handbook (editable preferred), your state footprint and headcount, any side agreements, recent policy changes or litigation, and the business context that shapes how a policy is applied, remote work, industry rules, and anything unusual. If the handbook is too far gone to salvage, we'll quote a rewrite instead.
