The People Pocket is built for growing employers that need consistent HR support, but not a full-time HR hire.
That’s where Tova comes in. Built on decades of real-world legal and HR experience, Tova is an AI workplace adviser you can consult before the write-up, the termination, or the difficult conversation. She pressure-tests the facts, flags risks, and helps you decide whether to proceed, pause, or escalate.
Ways Tova helps
Tova gives a practical HR recommendation, identifies what could change it, and recommends legal review only when the issue calls for legal, not just HR, judgment.
Bring Tova a sticky employment situation, performance, leave, accommodation, termination, harassment, investigation. She works it with you end to end: facts, risk, plan, conversation, documentation, follow-up.
Ask TovaYou already know what you want to do. Tell Tova what happened and what you're planning. She'll agree, disagree, or agree with a tweak, fast. No full workup.
Try a Gut CheckPaste the email, message, or write-up you're about to send. Tova reviews tone, legal exposure, and clarity, then hands you a revised version you can send.
Review an EmailManager training, harassment prevention, policy rollouts, difficult-conversation coaching, drafted around your handbook, your industry, and the situations your team actually faces.
Explore TrainingTova drafts new policies or redlines your existing handbook in compliance with federal and state law. A licensed employment attorney reviews, revises, and signs off before release. (Paid add-on.)

See pricingTova can help you work through sticky employment issues, gut check your strategy, review and revise your emails before you send, and help craft training specific to your organization. She handles tasks the way an experienced HR business partner would, applying your policies, flagging potential risks, and helping you decide what to do and say next.
Tova does not jump straight to a generic response. Drawing on a knowledge base shaped by decades of legal and HR experience, she works through the situation with you, identifying what matters, evaluating the options and risks, preparing you for the conversation, and helping you manage what happens next.
Tova gathers the relevant facts, identifies what may be missing, and reviews the employee history, applicable policies, documents, location, and other circumstances that could affect the decision.
Tova organizes the facts, surfaces employee-relations and legal risk factors, and helps you consider whether to proceed, pause, reframe, or seek additional support.
Tova can develop talking points, anticipate employee responses, role-play the conversation with you, and draft supporting documentation such as coaching notes, warnings, PIPs, investigation materials, meeting summaries, and separation communications.
Tova maintains the relevant history, tracks important dates and follow-up commitments, and helps you return to the issue without starting over. When circumstances warrant additional review, she also identifies when speaking with employment counsel should be considered.
Built around your company
Add your employee handbook, leave and attendance policies, performance processes, templates, and other workplace documents. Tova uses those materials when helping you work through a situation, applies the policies that are relevant, and identifies when your documents do not address the issue.
Subject to The People Pocket's record-retention policies, Tova can also retain relevant information about your organization and prior situations. That means you do not have to repeat the same policies, practices, decisions, and background each time you return. The more Tova understands your company, the more tailored and useful her guidance becomes.

Why Tova is different
Consulting Tova is not like starting with a blank chatbot. It is like having an AI HR partner in your pocket, one shaped by Ali's judgment, practical experience, and approach to solving real workplace problems.
Ali created Tova after seeing the same problem again and again: growing employers had reached the point where they needed consistent, experienced HR support, but not necessarily the cost or commitment of a full-time HR leader.
When a difficult employee issue arose, there was often no trusted resource to call. Decisions had to be made quickly, sometimes before the right questions had been asked or the potential risks fully understood. The People Pocket was built to close that gap by making experienced HR guidance accessible whenever employers need it.
Tova's questions, decision frameworks, escalation protocols, conversation guidance, and attorney-check rules were shaped by Ali's more than 26 years of experience advising employers and serving in roles including outside employment counsel, General Counsel, CHRO and Head of HR, and Chief Compliance Officer.
Ali also educated Tova using practical resources developed throughout her career, including curated federal and state employment-law materials, investigation tools, risk frameworks, policies, trainings, and employee communications.

Tova provides HR guidance, not legal advice.
QIs Tova giving legal advice?
No. Tova provides HR business-partner guidance based on the facts you share and your policies. She is not your attorney, and using The People Pocket does not create an attorney-client relationship.
QAt what point does Tova suggest speaking to legal counsel?
When the facts cross The People Pocket's proprietary escalation threshold - which takes into account criteria like protected categories, protected activity, and other risk factors - Tova suggests considering speaking to legal counsel.
QWhat if I choose not to speak with legal counsel after Tova suggests I should consider it?
You can continue. Tova will proceed with HR guidance rather than legal advice.
QWhat if I need to go straight to counsel?
You can reach out to Ali Jubelirer directly at her law firm, AJ Legal, by emailing her at aj@alijlegal.com. Click on Attorney Services to learn more about Ali's practice.
QIf I hire Ali as my lawyer later, does she already know everything from my Tova conversations?
No. Your People Pocket account and any legal engagement with AJ Legal are kept separate. Ali won't pull from your Tova history for a legal matter unless you specifically authorize it, and nothing you tell Tova is privileged, even if you later become a legal client.
QDoes Tova remember my company and prior situations?
Yes. Subject to The People Pocket's record-retention policies, Tova can retain relevant company information, policies, prior decisions, key dates, documents, and follow-up commitments. That means you can return to a situation without starting over, and Tova's guidance can become more tailored as she learns how your organization operates.
QWhat if I think Tova is being too conservative with her assessment or not conservative enough. Can I adjust her risk tolerance level?
Yes. Just like you would with a human HRBP, you should give Tova feedback and she will remember it for future conversations. If you think she needs to adjust, you can tell her and she will incorporate your directions.
QHow can I be sure Tova won't make any mistakes?
Just like a human HRBP, Tova may make mistakes or evaluate a situation and miss something. That's why its important to give Tova as many facts and resources as possible, and to review Tova's output and work product.
